Jonnie Brown

Executive Producer / Private Investor
Jonnie Ramsey Brown earned her bachelor’s degree in 1974 and began a career at one of the nation’s leading accounting firms, becoming a Certified Public Accountant. She served two Olympic organization committees—Los Angeles in 1984 and Atlanta in 1996. She earned her MBA in 2004 and later became a Certified Information System Auditor—a certification for professionals in Information Systems and cybersecurity careers.
Jonnie retired from the federal government in 2019 and resides in Metro Atlanta.

As family historian and storyteller, Jonnie has written genealogy articles for various publications and has published a compilation of stories that traces her family back to slavery. She is a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Sons and Daughters of the United States Middle Passage, First Families of Alabama, and other genealogy, historical and lineage organizations.

Jonnie now brings awareness to the racial disparities in healthcare, in honor of her husband’s legacy. She has written a soon-to-be published book about his senseless death and plans to adapt the story to a movie or mini-series.

Gisele Haralson is an, author, screenwriter, film producer, documentary director/producer, radio personality and activist. She is also the Founder of Follow Dreams Productions – a film company created to inspire others to bring their projects to reality.

She is directing and producing “Who Said You Can’t? African-American Women in Science” which is currently in post-production. Her professional career has been dedicated to educating and motivating women to follow their dreams. She is the author of two successful, non-fiction books- More Than Just Sex: It’s The Art of the Chase- African American Women Defining Themselves, Black Men, Each Other, Relationships and Secrets to Love and Happiness and most recently, When Money Meets Seduction; Inspiring Financial Lessons of Women Who Have Connected with Money and Power.
“The Art of the Chase,” which she wrote and is producing has had some principal photography shot, some second unit shot, as well as some promotional materials.

She is the creator of A Celebration of Women, an event that showcases the great accomplishments and achievements of women from all walks of life. She is also the Executive Director of Child Development Institute, an organization that uses the art to help child to express themselves. This work has brought her back to her first love, youth development.
As a member of Women in Film and Television she is committed to the work of women being able to creatively express themselves. Much of her writing and film projects centers on social issues that affect women and children. Her work with families and the community has led her to receive the National Association for Family Childcare Leadership Award and the Angel Heart Award.
Daryl Blacher

Producer
Daryl E. Blacher has worked in program and grants management for more than 20 years for various state, city and federally-funded projects in addition to nationally known entities such the Smithsonian Institution (Reading is FUNdamental) and AARP. She currently serves as the Grant Manager for the Office of the Mayor-President, City of Baton Rouge/East Baton Rouge Parish where she manages a multimillion-dollar portfolio of government grants to community-based organizations focusing on various Public Service, Economic and Community Development initiatives. She previously served as ReCAST Program Manager, Office of the Mayor-President, for 3 ½ years where she led, managed and coordinated ReCAST Baton Rouge grant activities and a 32-person Coalition of trauma-informed and other community-based organizations to address the stress and trauma due to the civil unrest experienced in Baton Rouge during the summer of 2016, following the shooting of Alton Sterling, the police ambush and the August floods.
Daryl’s TV and film background includes producing TV segments and serving as a production assistant intern for ABC Affiliate WJLA-TV 7 (Washington, DC), serving as the Tune-In Advertising Coordinator for Public Broadcasting Service (Alexandria, VA), serving as both Local and National Sales Assistants in addition to Host/Producer for “Focus” and Daryl and Company (Good Morning Baton Rouge) for NBC Affiliate WRBT and WVLA-TV 33 (Baton Rouge, LA) and a Summer Intern for CBS Affiliate, WAFB-TV 9 (Baton Rouge). Daryl has also served as a freelance associate producer for Louisiana Public Broadcasting (WLPB-TV, Baton Rouge). As talent for MG Talent Agency, Daryl has also appeared and conducted voiceovers for in numerous TV and radio commercials, served as a stand-in and extra in The Toy movie directed by the late Richard Donner and in various Louisiana culture documentaries for ABC Affiliate, WBRZ-TV. She also produced the annual Sickle Cell Anemia Telethon while employed at WVLA-TV.
Daryl earned a Master’s in Public Administration (December 2015) and a B.A Degree (August 1977), from Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, LA.
Dorez Douglas

Producer
Dorez Douglas is an author, poet and producer in Los Angeles, California. For the past three decades, Douglas has produced a number of plays, short projects, videos, and an independent film, “Beverly Hood” which is currently available on Amazon. It stars Kym Whitley, Destiny’s Child, Yolanda “Yo-Yo” Whittaker, Lavell Crawford and Walter Powell.
Douglas got her start as co-executive producer of an animated special for ABC-TV. The program, “Jirimpimbira: An African Folktale” was a critical and commercial success, receiving an excellent review in Animation magazine, as well as a Parents Choice Award. It featured the voices of Diahann Carroll, Paul Winfield, James Avery, Meshach Taylor, Dawnn Lewis and Jamil Smith.
In 1997, Douglas created the Entertainment Industry Training Program (EITP) as part of Concerned Citizens of South Central Los Angeles. The program trained youth (13-18 years old) for jobs behind the camera and was co-sponsored by DreamWorks and Sony Pictures Entertainment.
In September 2020, Douglas and her producing partner, 2x Academy-Award winner, Willie Burton, shot a short film called "Voices," starring Lamman Rucker. The film has been submitted to several film festivals.
Currently in production: "Still We Rise: Life in 2020," a documentary. Their next project is a docu-drama about the African-American female founder of one of the top Charter Schools in Louisiana. Pre-Production will begin mid-July, 2021.
Feature projects in development include: "The Untold Secret," "Legal Hitman," and “Desire,” all based on true stories, and "Cabin 4,” a supernatural thriller.

Willie D. Burton

Willie D. Burton is an American production sound mixer. His career has spanned four decades, Burton has worked as the production sound mixer on over 100 movies, since his first film, “Let’s Do It Again.” He is a two-time Oscar winner (“Bird” - 1988 and “Dreamgirls” - 2006).
His Academy Award nominations include his work on the films, The Buddy Holly Story (1978), Altered States (1980), WarGames (1983), The Shawshank Redemption (1994), and The Green Mile (1999) among others. With seven nominations (as of 2019), Burton is one of the Academy's most-honored African-Americans in the film industry.
He has also won the BAFTA Film Awards for Best Sound for the movie “War Games.” He was nominated for one Emmy Award for Outstanding Achievement in Film Sound Mixing for his work on Roots. He makes his directorial debut with the short film, “Voices,” a film that speaks to him because of his early childhood growing up poor in Alabama where he saw racism firsthand.
